You've supplied a UK price, which makes it difficult to compare with Irish pricing. An equivalent car on the Irish market today is not far off €10,000. If that price is in the UK, then obviously there will be considerable costs to bring it in, so you may well be better off looking for a car already in Ireland. 

Aside from that, we wouldn't be overly concerned about that level of mileage for the 1.5-litre diesel engine, so long as it has been properly serviced. It should be good for much more.

We would suggest you think about whether you really need a diesel car, however, as it is likely to come with expensive maintenance bills in the next few years in comparison to a simpler petrol version.
