Hello, I am looking for advice about a car I am interested in. It is a 2016 Nissan Qashqai Automatic transmission. The car dealer has said that the gearbox needs to be replaced. It has been sent to Nissan to be fixed. There are approximately 80000 kilometres on the clock. Should I be concerned about this? Best regards Martin
Hi Martin,
If the gearbox is being fully replaced, and not just repaired, then we wouldn't worry unduly about it. It would be worth checking with the garage why it needed to be replaced, though, and insist on a warranty of at least a year on the gearbox as well. If in any doubt, walk away from the deal and look for another car.
