Thoughts on this Kia Rio?
Interested in Kia Rio 2006 for sale in Clare 1,300. I know owner but they had new clutch, starter + battery fitted in February 2018. Why would clutch + starter give trouble??? is this typical of this make of car. Mileage 228,000 Kl. NCT to June 2019. Will sell for 1,200 but I am concerned about how reliable it would be. My budget is 1,000 for reliable used car. Any advice appreciated.

Kias in general are very reliable, but the fact of the matter is that you can't expect perfection and no maintenance on a fourteen-year-old car that has done over 200,000km and is costing just over €1,000. Clutch wear is down to how and where the car is driven for the most part, too. Now that work has been done, you should hope it won't need such things for a very long time again.
