Thoughts on this Golf?
Hi, Test drove a 2009 2.0L Golf Comfortline 110BHP today. 120,000 KMS. Drove nicely but the clutch seemed on the bouncy side. Full service history based on logbook but no evidence of timing belt replaced. NCT valid to 2019. There was reference to work done as part of a recall which may be a good thing but is it something that could be a future problem? Appreciate any feedback. Patrick.

Well, the best isn't due until 180,000km, regardless of time, so don't worry about that. And with the recall work, who knows? The recall should have fixed whatever the issue was, but with that age of car you can't expect it to be perfect forever anyway. With regards to the clutch, the only way to know if it's normal or not is to drive many different examples of the same car to get a feel for it.
It's a decent car in general, though, great for racking up high mileage.
