I have a Volkswagen golf 1.6 142 (167000km). I am trading it against a Jaguar XE R Sport 171 (120000km). I am getting €10000 trade in value for my Golf. Jaguar is €22000. Leaving the amount to pay €12000. Is this a good offer? Also, are Jaguar XE know to have an mechanical issues?
Hi Justin,
The trade-in price for a 142-plate Golf 1.6 of that age seems very generous and, while we’d say the XE is at the top end of the market valuations, it seems a reasonable deal overall to us. If there are any problems, they relate to the turbodiesel models of the Jaguar but most of those should have been fixed under warranty by now.
