My wife wants to buy a 2016 renault clio it has 134000km on the clock i think that is a lot of milage for a small 4 year old car. Please advise.
Hi Tom,
It is high mileage for a small car, as superminis like the Clio are rarely bought by people who do lots of motorway miles per year. This car has done, on average, 33,500km for each year of its life. However, don’t be put off by it – if it’s a high-spec car with a good, solid history and it looks in nice condition, this high mileage will play in your favour. A 2016 Dynamique Nav Clio with about 100,000km on the clock will typically be a five-figure car, so if you can get this one for €8,000 to €9,000, it’s well worth considering. If it’s a lowly spec and your wife just wants a cheap runaround, aim to bag it for no more than €7,000.
