am looking at a 161 Opel Mokka 1.4 petrol. Tax is 390Euro. Mileage 21,000Km. Asking price 21,500. How does this sound? Tyres have to be replaced. Why should this be necessary with such low mileage? Thanks
Hi Toni,
I think that price looks a little high, to be honest. You can pretty easily pick up a Mokka with either a petrol or diesel engine, on a 161 plate, for less than €18,000 if you shop around. As for the tyres, it all depends on how the car has been driven by the previous owner, but yes a set of tyres gone in 21,000km does seem a bit early. Make sure you check the condition and service history carefully, and ask about the previous owner — did they use it for work, or lugging heavy loads around, towing a hefty trailer, something like that?
