Thoughts on the Fiat Tipo?
Could you review the new Fiat Tipo (both diesel and petrol) please and also the Fiat Bravo (is it Bravo or Brava?) , which I believe was recently discontinued. Some time ago I asked you about the Tipo and after a reasonable time you emailed me back with the answer, but I could not open it on my computer. I've no idea what was wrong. Please send it again + some tips for opening, if possible. Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill.
Well, the Bravo has been out of production for some time now. It was always a reasonably OK car, but nothing more than that. The new Tipo isn’t too bad either — it’s designed to be very cheap to buy (almost a Dacia rival), but still cut a mild dash of style, and it does manage to do that. It’s roomy and comfy, and the 1.4-litre petrol engine is decent, but you’ll probably want to upgrade to the (noisy) 1.6 diesel for a bit of decent performance. Quality seems fine and it’s OK to drive (but no more than that). Best version is the estate, which is nicer looking than the hatch or saloon to my eyes, and massive inside.
