What the car will be worth in the future will depend on how long you intend to keep it, what sort of distance you’ll add to the odometer, what condition you’ll keep it in and how you’ll service/maintain it – the value will vary hugely, depending on the answers to all these factors.

What we can say is the seventh-generation Opel Astra ‘K’ is a very good C-segment hatchback. It was awarded European Car of the Year in 2016, with good reason, as it drives excellently, has a decent array of engines, comes with plenty of kit across the board, and it’s good to look at, too.
