Thoughts on my Hyundai servicing?

Thoughts on my Hyundai servicing?

I have Tuscon a one year old 1.7 Diesel and brought it in for its first year routine service whereupon I was told that it was a health check nd not a service An oil & filter change was advised for a charge of €125.I took a 5 year service plan out when I bought the car.are they correct in charging for this.they said it was not compulsory but could affect the waranty if I didn't .

Our answer:

Hi John,

Our information is that a Tucson like yours must first get an oil and filter service at 30,000km or two years, whichever comes first. If your car has not covered 30,000km then it is not due yet and, frankly, it's misleading to say that if you don't take the optional extra service, it will affect your warranty. I'd suggest checking this and reporting it to Hyundai Ireland.
