There are good and bad aspects to doing such a thing. I main dealer might give you a better warranty and it's a little easier to track the service history of an Irish-market car, too. If the car seems good, has been checked over by someone that knows what they're looking at, is serviced immediately and is well-priced, then the import might still suit you better.
