The CLA is a nice enough car and you should get a good one with reasonable mileage on it for your budget. Your closest alternative in the BMW range is the 2 Series Coupe, which is only a two-door (unlike the four-door CLA), but if you’re not going to be using the back seats, this is not a problem. A third way is an Audi A3 Saloon with a decent engine in it. The Audi is very steadfast and secure, having a nice interior, but it’s perhaps slightly less glamorous than the CLA, which does much the same job. The BMW is the most fun to drive.
