Thoughts on a diesel XC90?
I’m thinking of buying a Volvo XC90 2013, road tax is high and I’m worried there are more taxes down the road for these diesel vehicles, which may seriously devalue it trading in. I only intend to keep it for 1-2 years. I’d ideally like a hybrid but options are thin in 7 seaters and within my budget. I’d appreciate any advise. Thank you

It's a tricky situation, especially with supply issues at the minute. You may well be right about future taxation and devaluing of large diesel cars, but that's impossible to know with any surety. I would suggest you buy the car that suits your needs right now. As you mentioned, there's not a lot of choice in the market in any case and I suspect that will still be the case in a year or so.
