We’d sound a slight note of caution about the fact an ex-company car has a gap in its service history, but these things can happen from time to time (a forgetful fleet manager etc) and provided the car looks and feels good, then it’s a solid purchase. Also, the Volkswagen Group 1.2 TSI is one of our favourite motors; provided you’re doing less than 20,000km per year, it’ll make sense financially and there’s also no reason that this car won’t serve you another 128,000 miles if you look after it from hereon in.
