I’m thinking of buying a Nissan Juke 2011 with 93 000 miles would you recommend or is there anything I should be looking out for or asking about the car thank you.
Hi Camilla,
We've put together a generic guide to buying a used car that you may find useful for a start. We'd also recommend you do a history check using Cartell.ie on any car you are about to buy.
Now, specific to the Juke. You've not mentioned the engine in the car you're looking at, but in the popular 1.6 petrol version, the clutch pedal can stick down, which can mean an expensive fix. And the radio might not work properly, either. Those are things you can check for yourself on a test drive.
Make sure there's no smell of fuel in the car and that it starts quickly without an issue, as there are known issues with the fuel system leaking. That's actually quite an easy one to fix, though.
As long a test drive as possible over a variety of roads is always recommended.
