I'm thinking about getting an old 4*4 for bringing the dogs around. Most are commercial but I've seen one that is 'vintage'. Any gotchas in getting a vintage commercial I need to know about? I know I'd have VAT issues if not vintage
Hi Craig,
Just make sure you know the motor tax and insurance costs before you commit to anything. If it's not over 30 years old and it was registered as a commercial, you'll be paying tax based on the engine size, not the CO2 emissions, and it can be tricky to get private insurance on such vehicles, too.
