I would tread very carefully. The SLK didn’t have a terrific reputation for reliability or quality when it was brand new, and it needs careful attention and servicing if it’s going to keep working properly. If it has a fully stamped up service history, preferably from a Mercedes dealer, then it might be OK, but as I say — be cautious.
