Was thinking of purchasing a Mazda six car. It would be a second hand car. I've heard some horror stories about engine problems after 100,000 km. Would like some further info if possible.
Hi Kevin,
I'm afraid it's true, the previous-generation 2.2-litre diesel engine had a major problem with its timing chain. It stretched, causing all sorts of issues and a major expense to repair. We'd avoid it altogether, which is a shame, as it's otherwise a good car.
