The Passat range has just been updated and it is just now arriving in Irish dealerships. The GTE model is one of the stars with a higher energy capacity battery. It starts at €53,995. We've not tested the updated model as yet, but the previous one was always an interesting mix of lots of performance, with a relatively soft and comfortable chassis and a decent specification despite the high price. The new one gets even more equipment and technology, plus a longer electric-only range.
