Skoda Roomster or Fabia Combi?
2013 Skoda Fabia Combi or 2013 Skoda Roomster (both 1.2 petrol)? Hi Shane, we are a family of four. We need an upgrade from our old 12 years old car and are looking to buy a 2013 car which is reliable, spacious and economical with low car tax. We like the 2013 Skoda Fabia Combi (estate) 1.2 L petrol. However, we also like it's 'first cousin' the 2013 Skoda Roomster 1.2 L petrol. Both cars asking about €11K. We travel 60 km every day by car and it will be our only car. Which car might suit our needs better? Many thanks.

Hi Paul,
I’d go for the Roomster. I know it’s a bit odd looking, but it’s just as good to drive as the Fabia, barely any less economical and has, crucially, more space for people and luggage. The Fabia’s a fine car, no question, but even the Combi estate is a little tight on cabin space (albeit the boot is very big for a car that small). But the Rooster’s rear accommodation is massive and hugely practical, so with your need of space for a family of four, that’s the one I’d go for.
