The bearing is unlikely to break, but it may get noisy, so that[s something to listen out for. An inexperienced person may not notice this as it will gradually go that way rather than one day suddenly be noisier.

Likewise, the clutch slave is unlikely to just break. Instead, it might stick or leak fluid. The driver may notice an odd clutch pedl feel or position and maybe even difficulty engaging gears.
