Should we buy category C?
Hi, I’ve just found out that the car we are going to look at is a category c write off? What’s your advice? Can they be insured and taxed? Should we just walk away?

Hi Lisa,
If the car has been repaired properly, and assessed as such by an independent firm, then it's likely to be fine, as it doesn't take much for a car to be category C (repairable, but the parts and labour would exceed the value of the car). Nonetheless, I'd still be tempted to look elsewhere.
