You really should get the car up on a ramp to be looked at underneath by a good mechanic, as the car could be damaged and it might affect the steering, suspension and even the engine if the oil sump was damaged. Saying all that, most cars have plastic covers under the engine that would make a huge amount of noise in that situation, so it is entirely possible that you've done no major damage.

We'd recommend you have it looked at though. It'll only take a few minutes and I doubt many independent garages would charge you for looking.
