Hi Shane I have a diesel Nissan qashqai 2019 model with 17k miles on it. Due to Covid restrictions I haven't used the car as much as normal and will now be working at home every second week. My mileage per year is going to be around 8-10k now. Thinking of selling due to lack of use and possible problems with dpf. Any advice? Thinking of going petrol instead and probably down sizing to maybe a 1.0 litre Ford focus 2013/14? Thanks
Hi Chris,
That sounds like a sensible move, as you certainly don't need the long-distance economy of the Qashqai now and, as you'd realised, it could end up costing you a lot in maintenance.
The 1.0-litre Focus is a good car. Perhaps also take a look at a hybrid Toyota of some description that is within budget.
