Should I replace my Peugeot 508's belt and water pump?
I have a Sept 2017 Peugeot 508sw, its the 2.0L 150 blue gt line version and was wondering when i should replace the timing belt and water pump, i have already purchased a gates set because i was told they are a good make, can you confirm any on this for me thanks.

Hi Michael,
The belt (and water pump) should be replaced at least every 150,000km or 10 years - whichever comes first. And yes, Gates is a well-known brand.
I would urge you not to do the work yourself unless you have experience doing so - it's best left to a professional mechanic.
