Should I replace my Clio's broken belt?

Should I replace my Clio's broken belt?

Hello .I was driving my 08MH4090 1 Litre Clio petrol at approximately 30 km/ h . Jus t out of driveway when it lost power. Timing belt failed. 250k km . It had been replaced previously at 170 k Kim. Car was running really well. Is it worth my while having timing belt replaced to see if any damage was caused to engine. Or should I just scrap it. Advice please. Many thanks. Derek.

Our answer:

Hi Derek,

I'd advise you get the car brought to a good mechanic to take a look for terminal engine damage. Not all engines are damaged expensively when this happens - though most are in truth.
