Should I get a diesel Qashqai?

Should I get a diesel Qashqai?

Hello, I'm in the market for a new Car. I do lots of motorway mileage which amounts to about 120km a day for 4 times a week. I have a strong interest in the 201 Nissan Quaqhai. My question is for such long motorway distances I'm I better with the 1.6 DIESEL model or is the 1.2 Petrol model just fine ? Also can you let me know if there are other cars I should be looking into ? I have cash budget of 25k and hoping to trade in my old car for circa 4k. Thanks

Our answer:

Hi Tobi,

Assuming a working year of around 48 weeks, then you’re going to be covering around 23,000km per annum – and our minimum threshold for selecting a diesel would be around 20,000km, so we think you’d be better off with the Qashqai diesel. There are a lot of very good C-segment crossovers, such as the SEAT Ateca, Peugeot 3008, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Skoda Karoq and Renault Kadjar that you could also consider, which have diesel options available.
