Would I recommend a crossover vehicle? To be honest, not really no. Most crossovers are really just fashion trinkets and don’t offer better functionality than a ‘conventional’ hatchback or saloon. If you need a bit of extra ride height for rough roads, or a higher seating position to make getting in and out of the car easier, then they’re worth considering, but to be honest I’d suggest trading in your old Mazda against a new 3 hatchback or saloon, which is a really cracking car, and which will be more affordable to run and nicer to drive than any crossover.
