The Touran is a tough and generally reliable (and very useful) car, but like most cars, it will eventually need more and more expensive repairs. Only you can decide on the right course of action here. Try to make projections for likely costs in the coming months, including servicing, insurance, fuel and tax, and then do the same for a newer model that you could potentially replace it with. That should give you a clearer picture of the sensible path.
