Hi - I have a 2012 BMW X3 approx 50km, silver, automatic, 2.0, black leather, heated seats, great condition. I'm considering upgrading a year or 2 to a newer car, I'm considering the new BMW X1 - would it be foolish to "downgrade" from an X3 to an X1? I have 2 children and realitically you can only fit the 2 kids in the back of the X3 and it will be the same in the X1. Please advise? will I be loosing lots of space and am I better off to keep what I have?
Hi Lynne,
Actually, the new X1 is reasonably roomy – it’s based on the 2 Series Active Tourer so there’s good space in the back, and it’s a cracking car to drive. On a personal level, I prefer it to the X3, but the best I can suggest is that you take one for a test drive and see if it has enough space for you. As a good alternative, why not look at the 2 Series Active Tourer? It's roomy and with MPV-style seating so you can squeeze more people in.
