Should I change to petrol?
Hi, I’m wondering if I should change to petrol??? Considering all that’s happened recently regarding diesel cars, I was wondering should I move to petrol? I’ve driven diesels for over 15 years and currently drive a 2012 Passat, thinking of changing it at the end of the year!! My annual mileage is 40,000km a year and was wondering should I change to petrol or stick with diesel??? Thanks, Denis

Hi Mike,
No, if you’re doing 40,000km a year then you’re probably best sticking with diesel. There were no major changes in the Budget regarding diesel cars, so you’re certainly safe for another year at least, and probably for longer than that. It is worth looking at the likes of a new-shape Toyota Prius that can do better than 60mpg on a long run, if you fancy future-proofing yourself.
