Should Ichange my diesel Tiguan 161 for for a petrol Audi Quattro182 instead and price range please
Hi there Halogue,
OK, 161-plate Tiguans start at around €21,000 and go up to €31,000, depending on their specification, mileage and drivetrains. On a trade-in, you’re probably looking at more like €17,500-€28,000, accordingly. Petrol quattro Audi Q-model SUVs (we’re guessing you’re looking at one of the Q2, Q3 or Q5) on the 182-plate start at around €35,000 and rise to €50,000, so you’re going to be looking at finding some amount of cash to bridge the gap, at least.
A petrol, four-wheel-drive Audi is obviously going to be heavier on fuel than a diesel two-wheel-drive Tiguan, so the question of whether or not you should go for it falls squarely on your annual mileage – if you do less than 20,000km per annum, then the Audi probably won’t hit you that hard in the pocket, if you truly desire having one. If you do considerably more than 20,000km per annum, either stick with the Volkswagen or look at diesel, 2WD versions of the Audi you’re interested in.
