Hi Carzone team, I bought a Mazda 3 in June 2021 and the waterpump and timing belt was done at 150,000 Km when I bought the car the mileage on it was 278,000 Km and after 11 months of driving the I have added over 2000 km. Should I be changing the timing belt? I was thinking of doing it at 300,000Km . Please advise, thanks a million!
Hi Sean,
You've not actually told us the year of the car, nor which engine it has, so we'll guess that it's a 2009-2014 1.6 diesel based on the mileage. Apparently the belt on that should be changed at least every 200,000km or 10 years, whichever comes first. No harm in getting it done earlier of course.
