The original generation Insignia (2008-2016) did have some issues, but all recalls required by the manufacturer should have been carried out by now. Common faults are power steering failure and electrical gremlins, but the Insignia is not a notably unreliable vehicle. If the car you’re looking at is in good condition with a solid history, there’s no reason to avoid it.
