Starting the engine of my Vauxhall mokka the E89 code appears. When I drive the car a few miles switch the engine off then restart it again the fault disappears. Is this an O2 sensor fault

You've not told us the model year or any engine details, but, looking at the error codes for the 2012-2015 1.7 diesel Mokka, we discovered that error P0089 means a performance problem caused by the fuel pressure regulator. It's best you bring the car to a good mechanic to have a look at it.
