SEAT Arona or Kia Ceed 1.0?

Seat arona 1.0 v. Kia ceedd 1.0

Our answer:

Hi Gerry,

Tough one, as they’re both good cars and we also have a bit of a thing about the desirability (or otherwise) of crossovers – it’s often the case that a decent B- or C-segment hatch does a better job of being a daily conveyance than a similar-sized crossover.

However, having said that, if the prices of the cars you’re looking at are pretty much the same, we’d go for the Arona. The Volkswagen Group’s 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine is just that touch more advanced and nicer to deal with than the Kia/Hyundai conglomerate’s similar engine, while the Arona is a sharp looker and has an excellent chassis that balances comfort with some real handling fun.
