Questions about my Volvo V40...
Hi, I've just bought a volvo v40 r design 2 litre petrol. Can you tell me if its normal to be so noisy, they told me it's a chain belt, so that's why?? Also on the rev counter, should it go completely down, or does it stay just below the 1? Many thanks Fiona

Hi Fiona,
I'm afraid we can't comment on how noisy a car is from afar. A timing chain and a timing belt are two different things and a chain can be noisier sometimes, but isn't always. If you have any doubt, bring it to a good mechanic to take a listen to.
In terms of the rev counter, it will only go all the way down when the engine is switched off completely.
