Question about my learner permit...

I have passed ireland driving theory test exam and they issued learner permit to me. My query is Can I drive with my International Full Driving License (from india) for one year in ireland after the ireland learner permit.

Our answer:

Hi Jobin,

There is no interaction between the Irish learner permit and your international driving licence from India. So, regardless of anything else, you can drive in Ireland on the international licence for a maximum of 12 months from the date of first arrival in Ireland.

If that time has expired, and all you have is the Irish learner permit, then you must be accompanied by a full licence holder while driving at all times until you've got your full Irish licence.
