Problem with my 2004 Mercedes
my car a 2004mercedes has stopped and will not start again. its a 1.8 manual transmisssion mercedes . the battery is good and spins the engine there is plenty petrol in the tank. its just not firing up.could it be the fuel pump or the ecu system how can I find out which problem Iv got?

Hi Pat,
You've not told us the model, but that era E200K's engine did burn its exhaust valves to the point of reducing compression. Even so, it would be strange not to have had some warning well ahead of not starting in terms of poor running and starting, so I'm not convinced that's your problem given the description you have provided. You really need to enlist the help of a good mechanic to look at it with you. It might only be a faulty sensor or pump as you mention, but no way to know from afar.
