It’s a surprisingly spacious car, the Countryman, with genuinely good room in the back seats and a decent boot. Good fun to drive too, although the 1.6 diesel feels a little underpowered in this bigger body shell. Overall reliability is good, but don’t buy one without a full service history and BMW-MINI's own two-year used car warranty is well worth having too.
