Depends. Are you driving long-haul or doing city miles? If it’s long-haul, then the Skoda’s diesel engine will be more useful to you. If you’re mostly in town, then the Jetta’s petrol engine will be better suited to your needs. Actually, the Jetta’s a bit of an underrated car and somewhat overshadowed by the Skoda, but then the Skoda does have a significant price advantage.
