New Superb or used Passat?
New 171 Superb versus 2016 VW Passat Hi Shane, I'm trying to decide between a new 171 Skoda Superb or a 2016 VW Passat. I'm looking at the 1.6 TDI Superb Active, and I would be utilising the current scrappage deal of 4,000 Euro so it should cost around 26,000. For the Passat I would probably go north and buy a 2016 1.6 TDI SE (or CL) model and it should cost approx. 23,500 (incl. VRT). I would plan to change cars again in 2 years time. I will be doing approx. 22K miles per year. I reckon the Passat would be worth approx. 19K in two years time and the Superb maybe 21K. Any thoughts? If I don't make a decision soon the wife will kill me!. Thanks Enda.

Hi Enda,
Go for the Skoda. If you’re planning to change in two years' time anyway, then you can make the best use of a PCP plan to buy it, plus it’s more car for similar money, and the two are basically identical under the skin. The Passat is a very fine car, but you simply can’t go wrong with a Superb.
