As a motoring journalist, my knee-jerk answer is that the Mondeo is better to drive, so get that. It's not that easy though. Perhaps I'm standing apart from my colleagues somewhat but I think the new Nissan Pulsar is quite decent. It's  massively spacious, really good value and very pleasant to drive. 

 

For all that though if it were me I'd still go for the Mondeo. They're built tough, have tonnes of space and really are quite brilliant to drive.
