My Roomster's fuel economy is awful!
I have a Skoda Roomster, 1.6 2008. the petrol consumption is only 5.5 km to the litre ? any idea why ? there is no smell of petrol when the car is running or parked.

That sounds pretty bad, but can I just first check that you’re reading your instruments right? 5.5km per litre would equate to 15mpg in old money, which would be disastrous. But it’s just possible that you’re reading litres per 100km, which would be equivalent to 51mpg, which would sound much more likely. If you’re right, though, and it is 5.5km per litre, then you need to get that car to a dealer and get it inspected.
