My Skoda rapid shows me a red engine light that comes on few mins after i start driving and stays on. havent noticed any changes to the drive but I did see a few drops of leaked oil where I'd parked.

Without knowing any other details we'd highly recommend you do not drive the car until you find what is causing the red warning light. If there is an oil leak, then it's important to check the oil level and find the source of the leak so you can get it fixed. Have a good mechanic plug a diagnostic computer/tool into your car to ascertain what the warning light means, as well.
