My Polo is overheating...

My VW polo 2008 1.6 is overheating and the cooling fan doesn't work also the heater is off

Hi John,

Turning your heater on will help take some heat away from the engine until you get the issue sorted. Don't delay, though, or it could cause terminal damage.

It could be as simple a problem as the fan switch not working, though it may also be a stuck thermostat. I recommend you bring the car to a good mechanic to have it sorted professionally.
