I'm afraid that, even if you did give us a detailed description of the noise, it would be almost impossible to assess it from afar. You really need to bring the car to a professional mechanic as soon as you can. It may not be anything expensive or dangerous, but a mechanic will soon let you know and you can then decide on when you need to have the work done.
