You've not told us what car you have, and which year, so we can't research if this is a common problem for your car or not. It sounds like a wiring or remote issue. Changing the battery in the key fob might be enough to fix it, but I doubt it. Worth bringing the car to a garage to check for sure. You may need a new key fob.
