You don’t say which model of BMW you’re looking at and a wide variety of BMW’s products of five years ago used that 2.0-litre diesel engine. Indeed, it could be badged as an -18d or -23d, depending on the car it’s in and the number of turbos it has. Best we can say is that a 2014 320d would have emitted around 129g/km of CO2, meaning a road tax bill of €270 in Band B1. Please be aware that if the 2.0-litre diesel you’re looking at is a more powerful SUV variant, then this tax bill is likely to increase as CO2 emissions rise accordingly.
