Some variants of that engine came with a wet belt from the crankshaft to the fuel pump, while others used a chain for that purpose. Theoretically I'm sure that you could change one for the other, but there are likely to be a lot of associated components that need changing. It is probable that it's an expensive job that is not worth doing.
